SLAVE TO NATURE She used to be the happiest girl. People even called her Joy. It’s just so sad how such a sweet soul was made the opposite of herself.  No home, no family, no friends. Nothing to call her own. So many called her names and that she won’t forget easily. She has never being like this before but now she’s full of anger, regrets and pains. She has even forgotten her own name; she thought to herself. She works day and night everyday to get nothing in return. As the sun rises and sets every day, she only prays for death and she awaits it. She my dear is a slave to nature. She tried so many times to take her own life, ‘‘no I can’t make this worse than it is already” she always says to herself. One morning,  she left to continue her daily struggle of survival. She managed to buy herself bread which will last her the whole day. A cycler bumped into her and the bread fell off her hand and as she bent over to pick what’s left after raining a million curses on h

What's that that has made you so sad and full of regrets and you can't forget no matter how hard you try. Was it love? Were you out of options that you made that rash decision that has hunted you ever since then?  Well yes, it happens and probably will happen again. The most important thing is that we're growing and learning. Might be slow but there's still a process.

CHAPTER TWO: ABOUT TIME

Oma and I went to a shopping mall to buy some of her personal stuff and provisions. Like always I would never refuse any request from Oma, so I gladly accompanied her. The mall was a very big one with lots of people. It was actually my first time there. Soon our cart got filled and it was time to make payments. But someone already picked it, he looked familiar, really familiar. The brown skin, yep, I gave him a name. I was surprise and overly excited that I couldn't hide it. He smiled back as he gave back the packaged grapes. When our hands met, I had a feeling as if an electric current moved through me. I guess he felt the sa

Chapter one: Find me. On a beautiful day, Friday, 4th October 2020. The day I have being waiting for, a day I have always looked forward to, a day I had imagined the end when I haven’t even started the beginning, a day of my….. “Linda, what are you still doing in bed?” Jenny my sister asked standing akimbo, taking me aback from my thoughts. Jenny is my second elder sister. A pain in my ass. Always on my neck and a sturbon fellow. I closed my eyes back pretending to still be asleep. “C’mon Linda don’t play games with me.” She yelled this time. I’m up silly. I stood up and made my way to the bathroom. I lazily sat on the water system while I perused instagram. “Linda, everyone is waiting for you” she said again after ten minutes. (you know that feeling when you really want to do something but you just don’t have the strength ,that was my situation, I sighed). I had my bath and quickly dressed up to meet my sisters already waiting for me. I wore my black pair of
